JORDAN GOLDBERG

Buzz is a short film, directed by Camille Tejeda, written by Jordan Goldberg, and produced by Katherine Kane and Synesthesia Films, in collaboration with Ombrophilous Films. The film stars Jillian Rezen, Carlos Tariche, Matthew Digeratu, Gabrielle Tejeda, and Victoria Pero.

 

I began writing this screenplay during the summer before my junior year of high school. To fund the project, the creative team set up a crowdfunding page on RocketHub, where we raised almost one thousand dollars. Production for the film was completed inthe  late April of 2015, and the final cut of the film was released in the following August. The piece is partially based on my own personal experiences with obsessive-compulsive disorder and trichotillomania.

 

August is looking for something. As she journeys across the memories of her childhood and adolescence, she starts to see a pattern of behaviors leading to the young woman she is today.

 

In a film filled with love, loss, and trauma, August will struggle to find the answers to her questions, and make a simple choice that at the same time changes everything:

 

August is about to shave her head.
